Today's topic is geekery. What's guaranteed to get you geeking out? What's the geekiest thing you've own/done?

Sometimes I go through JSTOR or Galileo just to find random articles to read for fun.

The less embarrassing shopping outing involved the multi-story bookstore in Oxford (I don't remember the name now). Nearly everyone was an English major and I think the store was extremely happy to have us there. Most of us actually stood there and said, "Well...I don't want my suitcase to be overweight..."

I also once got happily lost in the book section of the London Forbidden Planet.

XD It is very easy to get lost down there.

Geeky things I have done... Does the level of my glee when I got to see THE ROSETTA STONE OMG at the British Museum count? (Oh my god, the British Museum was brilliant. I want to spend so much more time there.)
In fairly unrelated news, earlier today I embroidered my grandma's initials on a handkerchief for her birthday. And I'm almost halfway done knitting this baby blanket. I AM THE MOST DOMESTIC.

I used to write out songtexts phonetically for my brother too, because he wanted to know what they were saying (it was English, he was maybe 7 or something), even if he couldn't understand it.

Or maybe holding whole conversations in lines from the Monkey Island games with my brother... (or from Psychonauts).
I don't really own geeky things unless my comouter counts, or that there's piles of books everywhere because we have no more shelf room, or maybe my Spongebob pullover.

Also, knitting and language-related stuff, though I am terrible at learning other languages. But oh, god, use "decimate" to actually mean "kill one-tenth of" and I will love you forever (Example which came to mind because I was just talking about Who. Other Who geeks will know what I am referring to, but, basically: a villain goes "Shall we decimate them? [...] Remove one-tenth of the population! [of Earth] and my reaction is "OMG DECIMATE AS IN PROPER DECIMATION I LOVE YOU FOREVER this is totally not the appropriate response here is it?")
(Just wanted to note - sorry for vanishing (more), I had some computer problems meaning I had to use an old computer, and if something isn't sitting obviously in my bookmarks page/toolbar it tends to go completely out of my head.)
