With the permission of the mods, I'm going to attempt semi-weekly open threads for some time, to see if we can get some discussion going back in this lovely group.

Today's open thread is about Halloween. Do you like it? Do you dislike it? What do you like or dislike about it? Do you live somewhere where it's not celebrated?

I loooooove Halloween, though that may be because up until last year I always invited my friends over and made everyone dress up. :D (I also love dressing up. A lot. *g*) This year everyone's scattered all over the place, so no Halloween part for me, so... I'm not how much I'll enjoy it this year.

Not sure I'd like it as much if I lived in America, though. Because here in Europe the dressing up is still very much in the tradition of *scary* costumes, and usually just for kids. Doubt I'd be as happy if I kept seeing sexy (insert random thing here) costumes everywhere. :/
